This calculator will help you calculate how many compacted cubic metres (CCM) per hour your compactor can produce.

CCM/hr = W × S × L × 10 ÷ P

where W is the width of the machine in metres,

S is the speed of the machine in km/h,

L is the depth of the lifts added in cm,

and P is the number of passes the maching makes to properly compact a lift.

Note that there is an error in the example calculation in the book on page 166. The figure should be 106.5 CCM per hour.
